Art for Everyone – 2024

Art Gallery Lectures

Although our “U3A Art for Everyone” lecture series at the Art Gallery of WA on 3rd Wednesday of each month is fully subscribed, we often do have spare seats when our subscribers send through their apology, so you might like to REGISTER FOR OUR STANDBY LIST to be considered for a free once-off opportunity to try out a lecture in a vacant seat? U3A Art Gallery Tours with a Guide

Many U3A Branches have taken up our offer of exclusive U3A Guide-led visits in the Gallery to view and learn about selected artworks or installations.  Content varies each month and numbers are limited to 15 per session.

Tours are 1:15 – 2:15 on selected Wednesday afternoons.  Book through your own branch, or individually HERE (limited availability.)  These tours are free courtesy of the AGWA Guides, but you must have a confirmed booking.  Lightweight folding chairs are available on request.

5-week Course “25 Artists you should know about”

Wednesdays 14th & 28th August, 4th & 11th September, 9th October.

Popular lecturer in our Gallery lectures, Carl Altmann MA, will present 5 lectures 1.15pm – 2:45pm on selected Wednesday afternoons in the State Library Theatre.  This course will equip you with the knowledge needed to impress your friends and fill you with pride at finding out about key artists and their artworks in Europe, Britain, USA and Australia. The course will start with the Renaissance and conclude with the present day, so it is also a survey of Art through the centuries.

The course fee for U3A members is $45.  Please book through the U3A City Courses.
